Good bone

by Rosie MacQuarrie
(TIMMINS,Ontario,canada)

My pup had tons of bone at birth and through out the 13 following weeks. I must say in the last 3 weeks the bone appears thinner as the pup has had a good growth spurt almost 3/4-1 inch.

Have you seen that bone come back? It happens in Labradors but this is my first sheltie breeding. I've hung on to a girl hoping she would keep that bone. She will be 4 months this week and is 11 3/4" tall and weight is 9.6 lbs.

Growing Pains

Every line can be different in how they mature, most shelties I have known go through a gangly stage where they appear out of proportion for a while. I would give her time to mature completely and fill out to see what you end up with.
