The picture that you clicked on to reach this page was a puppy picture of Ollie, my beloved little Sheltie who passed away this summer.
He was so smart, and loved with all his heart, but he was always his own dog. When he was still a puppy, we took him on a loop walk that was just a little too long for him. He sat down and demanded to go back. Rick has to pick him up and carry the last 100 yards to the car. He was totally amazed that we didn’t have to go back to get to the car! You could see the wheels turning over in his head.
He always trusted me implicitly, but could (and often did) insist in his own way. He was so cute that he turned heads everywhere he went. Nearly everyone wanted to pet him. His idea of heaven was being petted by 10 little girls at a birthday party. He had a rough last couple of years, but he always gamely bounced back.
